About Garbage & Rainbows

Hi,

The world is enchanting and disgusting and wonderful & I love the dirty scraps of things that follow in the wake of humans and tell our stories without words.  My jewelry and art are inspired by lowly materials and subject matter, treated with love and respected with good craft.

Background

I studied art and metal-smithing at Bowling Green State University and Oregon College of Art & Craft, where I earned my BFA, but am always struggling to find value in myself as a creative human being. So over the course of the last 15 years I've paid my bills (student loans) by working in retail, at a call center, as a metal casting technician, as a deck hand on a boat in the Columbia Gorge, a production sewer and block printer, a janitor, and a paralegal. (NOT simulaneously)

I have a toy poodle and two cats, and I'm learning Brazilian Portuguese. I like experimental music and noise and learning about people.  But I'm kind of agoraphobic, so it's complicated.

Thanks for visiting.
